With your camera, the forefinger of your right hand, a single blossom and several lily pads you have conveyed that for which Monet needed an entire pond, a super-sized canvas, lots of paint and many hours of toil. The brilliant beauty of that single lily, juxtaposed against the somberly sleeping lily pads surrounded by the Stygian darkness of the deep, constitutes a beautifully allegorical series of comparisons upon which the viewer is prompted to ponder—light versus dark, heat versus cold, day versus night, good versus evil, God versus Satan and life versus death.

And in addition to all that blather, hit’s a purty pitcher!
