The Orphaned Images Project: Brown, North Platte, Nebr.

I’m assuming this is also a Lucky Dedmore photograph. The photo was labeled “Brown, North Platte, Nebr.” Perhaps it’s the Brown family? If so, where is Mrs. Brown? There appear to be eight children—five daughters and three sons, but no one old enough to look like a mother figure. Wonder what the story is behind this portrait?

Perhaps it’s a Sunday School photo or first Communion or Eucharist. The two oldest men in the picture may be the pastor and a teacher. The girls appear the same ages (but physically a bit taller) as the boys seated as this probably happened in the 7th or 8th grade.

The background windows look like they may be from a church.

Maybe mom was the photographer? 🙂

There was also a “Brown Photography” in North Platte” during this era. That would be the “Brown”.
