Snowzilla

24 01 2016

The weather man got it right on the nose this time. They predicted snow in the D.C. metropolitan area about 1:00 p.m. on Friday (it started at 12:45) and it’s still going this Saturday night. We have more than two feet of the white stuff at this point. Our area doesn’t usually get accumulation like this—the last time we had this much was in 2003. Usually we get 3-4 snowfalls ranging from 2-4 inches and it usually melts within a few days. I have a feeling this stuff will be around for weeks to come. I’m happy to look at it from a distance as I remember the weeks it takes for that stuff to melt, the shoveling, the slush, snow piles in parking lots and sand/salt on the roads that got up underneath my car. Thanks for allowing me the enjoy it through your always beautiful photos!
